Delta State is situated in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria and is known for its abundant natural resources, particularly crude oil and natural gas. Its capital city is Asaba, located on the western bank of the River Niger. Delta State is home to Delta State University (DELSU) and other higher institutions, contributing to the region’s educational development. Its people are known for their rich cultural heritage, expressed through traditional festivals, music, dance, and crafts.
